I made ROBOT SNACKS for my son’s class for his 8th birthday. There were 24 students. All items were bought at Walmart. You would need:
4 6 packs of applesauce. $2.24 each. HEAD
Large bag of Smartees. $9.28 (this was way too much, but the only size available.) ARMS
Hershey’s Mix. $13.24 FEET
3 8 packs of Juicy Juice. $3.28 each. BODY
ROSE PETALS: You will need at least 5 petals and one leaf.
Cast on 4 stitches,
Row 1: Increase stich one and four.
Row 2: Knit across.
Row 3: Increase stitch one and six.
Row 4: Knit across.
Row 5: Increase stitch one and eight. You should now have 10 stitches.
Rows 6 through 10: knit across.
Row 11: Knit together Stitch one and two, knit across, stitch together stitch 9 and 10. You should now be down to 8 stitches.
Row 12: knit across.
Row 13: Knit together stitch one and two, stitch across, stitch together stitch 7 and 8.
Row 14: Knit across.
Continue to decrease everyother row until you are down to one stitch. Bind off.
Once you have at least 5 petals, sew. Add leaf. (Leaf is made the same way as the petals.)

If you don’t have oil pastels, a white Crayola will work too!
I did this activity with my special needs students…..it was tricky. The marbles kept rolling off the tray. I would suggest using cake pans if you are going to give this a go.
