OSHKOSH RECREATION DEPARTMENT SUMMER CLASSES
“SHELLS ON A BEACH” youth painting class.
Students will learn how to paint this shoreline in acrylic paint. Canvases are 11 x 14. After the paint is dry, students will be able to add shells and other objects to the canvas.
June 5th 3:00-4:00
Ages: 7-16
Maximum: 10 per class
Registration begins April 29th through ORD.
“BALLOONS AT SUNSET” adult painting class.
Students will be provided with step-by-step instructions to create this sunset landscape. Students will be using acrylic paint on a 16 x 20 canvas.
June 12TH 6:00-7:30
Ages 17+
Registration begins April 29th through ORD.
“BIRCH TREES” youth with special needs painting class.
Yarn resist birch trees. 11 x 14 canvases will be provided, prewrapped in yarn. Students will have the opportunity to wrap their own canvases if they wish. Acrylic paint is applied to the canvas using round sponge brushes. Once the entire canvas is covered in paint, and the canvas is dried, the yarn is cut away for the big reveal. Students can choose to leave the trees blank or add the black marks that are characteristic of birch trees. Black marks are added using a black sharpie marker.

Celebrate the Fourth of July with this American Sky painting class. Students will paint a 16 X 20 size canvas with acrylic paints.

“FIREWORKS” youth with special needs painting class.
Students will learn to paint fireworks by using a paper towel roll. The canvases are 12 x 12, and we will be using acrylic paint. Several colors will be available to create this one-of-a-kind painting.

“CAMPING AT NIGHT” adult painting class.
Students will be provided with step-by-step instructions to create this camping scene. Students will be using acrylic paint on a 14 x 11 canvas.
August 7th 6:00-7:30

“PICASSO MASK WORKSHOP” youth class
Students will be creating Picasso style masks. Materials that may be used are cardboard, paint, pompoms, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, buttons and much, much more! Each mask will be unique.
August 14th 3:00-4:00

“BUTTERFLY BUSH” adult with special needs painting class.
Students will learn a few different painting techniques to create this butterfly bush painting. Acrylic paint will be applied to a 14 x 11 canvas. Step-by-step instructions will be provided.
August 21st 6:00-7:00

Maximum: 10 Students
